  1. This is the best port I’ve ever been to!! It’s absolutely gorgeous and untouched. The people are so friendly. I cannot wait to go back, I would go on this exact cruise again just to go back. We did the Camp Del Mar park and beach break… which is mostly a beach break. The park is very nice and beautiful but the beach was awesome. The water was warm and they had lots of lounge chairs and palm shade umbrellas. They served lunch and the food was so good, it was jerk chicken, fish, homemade tortillas, fried plantains and other local foods and fruit. They had two pools and a DJ playing music.

  2. “A beautiful, peaceful day.”
Enjoyed the informative tour of the park, seeing the gardens and the animals, and then relaxing on the beach in shade. Nice lunch, many choices, lots of places to sit and relax. Enjoyed speaking with Mark, one of the owners and catching his excitement for the project. I’d like to go back to Trujillo and the park and stay for a while.

  3. “Unspoiled, simple, beautiful and relaxing”
Can’t beat the natural beauty of Honduras with Caribbean beaches rising up to the mountains. Did an excursion offered through NCL. Contrary to info we received, bus was air-conditioned and in top condition. Narrow dirt road was part of the adventure. Talked with one of the people who conceptualized and developed the park. Has only been offered as an excursion for a few months and they’re working small bugs out. Overall a wonderful experience in a beautiful area not overrun by tourists, condos, etc. After touring the park had time for 3 hours on the unspoiled beach. Met some locals, one of whom explained that while we view them as poor, they prefer a simple life and are happy. We can all learn from this. I’ll be returning to Campo del Mar in 3 or 4 years to see how the plantings have developed and in hopes that it hasn’t been ruined by development. PS We were also told “there is no shopping” in Trujillo. While they’re not selling diamonds as at other stops, it was our best opportunity to buy beautifully handcrafted items, most made by the people who staffed the tables.Meet and buy from Santos, whose tables are set up just across from the restrooms. A gentle spirit and honorable man.
