  1. “Stopped here on a cruise”
We stopped at this park while on a Norwegian Cruise. The beach is nice and clean with clear water but don’t expect crystal blue water. The beach has limited shady spots and you will have to get there early if you want to have a thatched umbrella. The buffet lunch they provided was very good especially if you like fish. The drinks at the bar are a little weak but not too expensive. A DJ plays music the whole time underneath the shaded tables by the bar. If I was in the area I would definitely go again. There is also a water trampoline for the kids.

  2. “A lovely day! Thank you Evelyn!”
What a fantastic shore excursion! This is a lovely setting with plenty to do, although all we wanted was beach time. Our server Evelyn took very good care of us! She kept us stocked in beer, pop, water and ice. By the way, a bucket of beer (6 cans) was only $10!! There were plenty of shady options to get out of the hot Caribbean sun – grass huts mostly. There were also plenty of lounge chairs. Our tour, which we booked through the cruise line ended at 1:00 but when we were lamenting having to go, we were told by one of the Canadian owners of Campo del Mar that they provided transportation back to the tender boats until 2:45… so we went back to the beach and plopped ourselves back down. We had a terrific buffet lunch of local foods (they like their chips and tortillas thick there). It’s so fun to try foods the way the local people eat them! We purchased local handicrafts and even a children’s book a resident wrote about the island. The water was crystal clear and we even found a starfish which we carried around in the water for a while like our own little mascot before putting him back where we found him. What a terrific day! We can’t wait to go back!!!

  4. “pure unspoiled beauty”
We stopped in Trujillo on our cruise and took the day trip to Campo del Mar. What a pure unspoiled beautiful beach and coast line, with the jungle covered mountains in the back ground. The beach area also had cover outdoor food area where they served all you can eat lunch. The food was very good with a good variety. The fish was excellent. They also have 2 smaller swimming pools as well. The beach itself just beautiful there were plenty of lounge chairs. They picked us up in a nice motor coach that had real A/C at the cruise tender dock area. The staff was all extremely nice and helpful.

  5. Norwegian Cruise Line
After running around all over the ship and two active excursions, this was the perfect way to spend our third and final port day. Actually, I had done a beach break five months earlier on another cruise line, independently, while in Belize. We felt like that experience was terrible. So it was a pleasant surprise how wonderful this one was. It was relaxing and enjoyable. Trujillo is under developed and I really enjoyed it.
